Το Save–Europe–Act – Μεσογειακή Αλληλεγγύη είναι μια άτυπη ομάδα υπογραφόντων του Save–Europe–Act, το οποίο υπογράψαμε παρά τις μερικές επιφυλάξεις που είχαμε, σε σχέση με ορισμένες διατυπώσεις. Για μας, προτεραιότητα έχει η ύπαρξη της πρωτοβουλίας και η ανάγκη να εκφραστεί το πνεύμα της. Συμφωνούμε ως προς τη σημασία της προστασίας της εθνοπολιτισμικής συνοχής των λαών της Ευρώπης. Συμφωνούμε ότι είναι απαράδεκτο να υποχρεωνόμαστε να ανεχόμαστε νεοαφιχθέντες που αποτελούν «απειλή ή βάρος για την κοινωνία μας», παρ’ όλο που δεν αποτελούν τη ρίζα του προβλήματος. Συμφωνούμε ότι, όταν δεν μπορεί να δοθεί εμπιστοσύνη στους νομοθέτες, η διάκριση μεταξύ νόμιμης και παράνομης μετανάστευσης χάνει τη σημασία της. Θα προτιμούσαμε ο όρος «δυτικός» να μην χρησιμοποιείται ως κριτήριο για τη διάκριση μεταξύ των ευπρόσδεκτων και των ανεπιθύμητων. Ενώ η υπογραφή μας στο Save-Europe-Act δεν σημαίνει τίποτα περισσότερο ή λιγότερο από άνευ όρων υποστήριξη, θεωρούμε ως επί το πλείστον η παροχή οικονομικής βοήθειας από μας θα έπρεπε να εξαρτάται από την κατάργηση των όρων «δεξιά» και «αριστερά» ως συνώνυμων των όρων «φίλος» και «αντίπαλος» αντίστοιχα..
Save-Europe-Act-Mediterranean Solidarity are an informal grouping of signatories to the Save-Europe-Act which we have signed despite, in some cases, misgivings about specific wording. For us the priority is on recognition of the overall urgency of the initiative and demonstration of solidarity with its spirit. We agree on the importance of protecting the ethno-cultural coherence of the peoples of Europe. We agree that it is unacceptable to be required to tolerate newcomers who are “a threat or burden to our society”, though they are not the root of the problem. We agree that when lawmakers cannot be trusted, the distinction between legal and illegal immigration loses its significance. We would prefer the term “Western” not to be used as criterion for distinguishing between the welcome and the unwelcome. While our signature on the Save-Europe-Act means nothing more or less than unqualified support, the majority of us probably see the provision of financial assistance as dependent on removal of the terms “right” and “left” as synonyms for “friend” and “opponent” respectively.
